Due to serious spreading of COVID-19 and steady increase in the confirmed cases, the Malaysian government made their mind to carry out the Movement Control Order (MCO) from March 18 until March 31 in order to curb the spread of the COVID-19. The MCO arises a panic-buy and shelves at most grocery stores or supermarkets are being emptied.

However, the Health Ministry advised all Malaysians to remain indoors and limit contact with others, maintain a 1 meter safe distance even it's just shopping for food.
