Congrats Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care! Dominates GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific Awards 2023 with 10 wins!

Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care (RSDH) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services, earning remarkable recognition at the esteemed GlobalHealth Asia-Pacific Awards (GHAPAC) 2023. 

Outshining the competition, Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC), a prominent healthcare provider in Malaysia and a flagship hospital of RSDH, proudly won six awards including the distinguished title of Stand-out Jury Hospital of the Year in Asia Pacific. 

The hospital has been a pioneer in private healthcare for 38 years, offering cutting-edge medical facilities and focusing on patient safety and clinical excellence notably in oncology.

SJMC also won an additional five awards, including the Multi-Disciplinary Oncology Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific for the fifth consecutive year, the Paediatric Oncology Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific and Advanced Genetics Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific awards for the second and third consecutive years respectively. 

This year, SJMC made its mark for the first time as the Interventional Radiology Provider of the Year and the Digestive Health Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific.

SJMC’s Cancer & Radiosurgery Centre have earned a place as a leader in various cancer treatments, including solid and liquid cancers. 

It is one of the first hospitals in Malaysia to embark on routine measurement of the performance of its cancer care services with the results compared to leading cancer centres globally. 

The evidence-based treatment is evident in their strength in clinical outcomes such as the high 5-year survival rates for breast cancer and nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), supported by published research papers.  

The hospital continues to be a leader in oncology by pioneering advancements in imaging technology such as the integration of positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) scanners in nuclear medicine. 

This is further strengthened with state-of-the-art installations such as the next generation of Tomotherapy and NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing). Additionally, their breakthroughs in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) have revolutionised thousands of oncology cases. 

In addition to their cutting-edge technology, SJMC offers support for cancer patients through a dedicated patients navigator program and an active patient support group, making the treatment journey more holistic and empowering patients to make informed decisions.

Recently, SJMC's dedication to healthcare has been recognised by the Malaysian Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC), selecting the hospital as one of the four finalists in the first-of-its-kind Flagship Hospital Programme 2021-2025, to represent Malaysian healthcare on a global scale. 

As a family-friendly hospital, ParkCity Medical Centre (PMC) is again honoured for the second time for its exceptional paediatric services with the Child Development and Paediatrics Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific award. 

It was a double celebration for the PMC team as the hospital was also recognised with another award for the Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Specialists Provider of the Year in Asia-Pacific. 

This honour is timely as the hospital celebrates its 11th anniversary this year.

Recognised for its cutting-edge approach to sports rehabilitation and physiotherapy, Ara Damansara Medical Centre (ADMC) has proudly received the Sports Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific award for the first time. 

As a trailblazer in orthopaedic, neurology and cardiology care for over a decade, ADMC leverages its expertise in AI-assisted rehabilitation to offer comprehensive facilities and services. 

In keeping with the healthcare needs of Malaysians, ADMC has rebranded its rehabilitation centre as the one-stop ‘Rehabcentric’, providing a full spectrum of services aimed at helping patients regain quality of life with timely and efficient care.

RSDH’s commitment extends beyond Malaysian borders as its premium hospital in Indonesia, RS Premier Jatinegara, has earned international recognition by securing the title of Hospital of the Year in Indonesia.
